AKRON, OH-In order to support its growing customer base in Southeast Asia, U.S.-based machine vision supplier Applied Vision has opened a service and support center in Malaysia and a direct sales office in Singapore.

“Machine vision is a necessity in Southeast Asia due to increasing competitive pressures and rising quality standards,” says Bud Patel, vice president of business development at Applied Vision. “As the machine vision partner to several major metal container manufacturers in Southeast Asia, we are committed to delivering the quick turnaround and technical support that are part of the Applied Vision advantage.”

Applied Vision’s Southeast Asian support services are based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Through a strategic partnership with Formach Asia, Applied Vision offers 24-hour technical support on its line of machine vision inspection systems for packaging, food and beverage containers and color printing. A factory-trained engineering staff is available for on-site service and phone support. Demonstration equipment and a full line of spare parts are also located at this facility.
