BRIGHTON, MI—– Promess Inc. has completed construction of a new, 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on its current headquarter campus located in Brighton, MI. This new facility will help Promess to meet its current record-setting product demands.

“This is the third phase of an ambitious building program conceived by founder Larry Stockline shortly after he started the company,” says Promess president Glenn Nausley. “The original 12,000 square foot building was erected in 1986 and expanded to 17,000 square feet in 1991 and 25,000 square feet in 1998.

“Larry envisioned the completed campus as a showcase of both efficiency and environmental responsibility,” Nausley added, “and we have always strived to meet both goals. The newly constructed facility includes space for research and development activities as well as manufacturing and associated functions.

“Equally important, it will minimize our carbon footprint through a variety of energy-saving ‘green’ features, which is also in keeping with Larry’s original vision,” Nausley adds.

“Completion of this project,” Nausley continues, “is a clear demonstration of our optimism about the future of manufacturing and our role in supporting that future with real-time assembly and functional testing technologies. We’re building on a solid foundation laid down almost 30 years ago and following a plan that has taken Promess from a small niche supplier to a global leader in force, torque, and motion control technologies.”

Promess is a 28-year-old firm that develops, manufactures, and markets its family of sensing devices, electronics, assembly presses and test systems on a global basis.
