Carl Zeiss Announces New Vice President of Sales


MAPLE GROVE, MN—Carl Zeiss announces the appointment of Mark Smith as vice president of sales for the Industrial Metrology group in North America. Smith will use his sales knowledge and skills to provide a better experience for Zeiss metrology customers. Smith will also lead new business initiatives, bringing new technologies to meet the increasing market demands.

Smith has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in various industries including IT monitoring, motion and control technologies, precision machining and tooling. Most recently, he worked as director, Motor Vehicle/Aftermarket Sales & Service for Apex Tool Group.

“Mark Smith is a creative and seasoned sales professional who has already made a positive impact on the IMT management team,” says Greg Lee, president and CEO of Carl Zeiss Industrial Technology. “I’m confident he is going to help us further evolve as a successful manufacturing and technology company.”
