The interactive platform debuts over 30 online courses covering metrology fundamentals, basic and intermediate software- and hardware-specific concepts for portable arms, CMMs, vision systems, laser trackers, and more. HexagonMetrologyU captures and converts the company’s global wealth of internal metrology knowledge into online coursework. HexagonMetrologyU classes are accessible 24/7 from any location via an Internet connection and a web browser. The current online coursework ranges from “math for metrology” to specific instruction on hardware operation to software programming. Each course offers step-by-step tutorials capturing the know-how of Hexagon’s veteran application specialists. Metrology fundamentals courses are free to use by students, teachers, metrology novices and experts alike. For those new to online training, there is also an eLearning course. The company’s educational initiative will expand in the coming months, as Hexagon plans to increase its online curriculum to more than 80 courses.
