Toshiba Imaging Systems Division (ISD) announces the release of the second in a series of HD remote-head cameras. The new IK-HR3H is a feature-rich, 1-chip CMOS, 2.1 megapixel video camera that provides optimal color accuracy and advanced noise reduction technology via a1/3-inch, 1080p high definition sensor. The ultra-small remote head (only 1.08 in. x 1.08 in. x 1.3 in.), delivers up to 900 TV lines resolution and features high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. Compatible with Toshiba Imaging’s recently introduced IK-HD3D controller, the progressive-scan video camera is economical and offers unprecedented user-controlled features.
Toshiba Imaging’s new IK-HR3H camera features a switchable scanning system between 1080p and 1080i, remote control via RS232, a C-mount lens mount, gen-lock for multi-camera or 3D camera use, image flip and mirror, and a convenient binning mode to achieve a 4x increase in light sensitivity. The affordable, 1-chip camera is ideal for diverse applications where a small footprint is required, such as microscopy/endoscopy, 3D imaging tasks, broadcast, aerospace/defense, and scientific imaging and diagnostics.
