Tecnatom, Marietta NDT Sign Collaboration Agreement
Tecnatom (Madrid, Spain) general director, Javier Guerra, and Marietta NDT (Marietta, GA) president, Daryle Higginbotham, have signed a strategic agreement of collaboration to develop their wide range of NDT services and products primarily in the North American market, and position themselves within the top-ranking companies in the U.S. within the composites inspection area.
By virtue of this agreement, both companies will establish various joint work lines mainly based on exchange of skills. To achieve this goal, Marietta NDT will have access to Tecnatom`s technology and Tecnatom will be able to increase its product portfolio thanks to the North American company. Thus, the two companies will be able to enhance their leadership in the non-destructive testing (NDT) sector, assure their respective positions and boost their services in the aerospace industry worldwide.
“For Tecnatom, a company which has been working in the aerospace industry for over ten years, this agreement is a decisive milestone within its strategy to increase its presence and activity in the North American aerospace market, where it already works for Boeing and Spirit, and it also shows its soundness and credibility," states Guerra. “Opportunities for powerful synergies are derived from this collaboration. We have our own state-of-the-art technology to perform ultrasonic inspection of aerospace parts during manufacturing processes, and Marietta NDT, thanks to its products, will let us improve our market share in the United States," he adds.
Tecnatom has taken another step towards its internationalization plans, where its aerospace business encompasses 14 countries and external sales represent 85 percent of the company's aerospace turnover. Among Tecnatom’s customers are major aerospace manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer, UAC Comac and KAI. The company also provides inspection systems to tier one suppliers such as Spirit, Daher, Aernnova, Aciturri and Alestis as well as tech centers like Tecnocampus EMC2 in Nantes.
