HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam — The Vietnamese manufacturing sector converges this week at MTA VIETNAM2014, which opens June 9, 2014 with a host of cutting-edge technologies and best-selling products from leading global manufacturing brands.

The Vietnamese manufacturing sector registered its strongest rise in output since earlier this year, prompting a demand for more sophisticated products and technologies which will be on display during the show.

Exhibitors present best-sellers at MTA VIETNAM2014

This year, exhibitors will be showcasing their best-selling products in addition to their new product launches. Visitors can expect to see over 150 best-sellers on display at MTA Vietnam 2014.

Hurco brings to MTA VIETNAM2014 the VMi series of 3-axis machining centers that features a small footprint with a large work cube. The best-selling VM series now comes in a refreshed "I" design plus UltiMotion, a Hurco Proprietary Motion Control technology, which further improves surface finishes and reduce cycle time.

The highlight for Makino this year is the intuitive Hyper i control for U Series Wire EDMs. This control system features a user-friendly interface similar to that found on tablets and smartphones, making operation fuss-free.

Seminars and competition for a complete visiting experience

In addition to a line-up of international exhibitors showing the latest products and technologies, MTA VIETNAM2014 will hold a series of seminars to discuss pertinent issues, trends and developments in the local manufacturing industry.

Two half-day seminars organized by the Lean 6 Sigma Network will consist of case studies on Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing at work in Precision Engineering, and also include a focus on "Advances in Metal Forming Technologies."

There also will be a half-day seminar jointly organised with the Multi Engineering Solutions Laboratory (MESLAB) - the largest mechanical and manufacturing community in Vietnam, themed "Enhancing Competitiveness of Vietnam Manufacturing in Globalised Economy". This seminar aims to provide the latest approaches and techniques in manufacturing and management, and will be an opportunity for enterprises to meet industry experts and get first-hand information about the latest technologies.

The Vietnam Welding Society (VWS) has once again co-organized a seminar and a competition at MTA VIETNAM. The seminar themed "The connection between welding and electro-thermal technology" will reach out to the welding fraternity in Vietnam.

The Vietnam Welding Skills Competition, which debuted in 2013, returns once again this year, offering participants an opportunity to pit their skills against one another, and to showcase their talents on the most important manufacturing event in Vietnam.
