ASME Congress Adds Design Conference

WASHINGTON, D.C.—ASME’s International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition will be co-located this year with two other major conferences—the Research, Design and Development Expo, and the Defense Research and Engineering Conference and Exposition.

The events for all three conferences will take place Nov. 16-21 at the Marriott Wardman Park and Omni in Washington, D.C.

For the 2003 Congress, a track conference program focusing on innovation in design and development has been added. The Research, Design and Development Expo will focus on discoveries in design and development. The Defense Research and Engineering Conference, will focus on the engineering of defense systems and researching advanced defense technologies.

The exhibit floor for the conferences will include targeted pavilions such as: Control Systems, OEM Components, Nano and MEMS Technology, and Design Tools.
