Ametek Inc. (Paoli, PA) has acquired Edax Inc. (Mahwah, NJ), a manufacturer of energy dispersive X-ray instrumentation.

Zeichman Manufacturing Inc. (Grand Rapids, MI) has achieved ISO 9001: 2000 registration.

PQ Systems (Dayton, OH), a statistical process control software firm, and Integral Solutions Inc. (Royal Oak, MI), a software, training and consulting firm, have partnered and integrated their flagship products to help increase efficiencies between quality and manufacturing engineers and SPC technicians.

Suspa Inc. (Grand Rapids, MI) has achieved ISO/TS 16949 registration.

LTI Metrology, a subsidiary of Laboratory Testing Inc. (Hatfield, PA) will merge with Gage Lab Inc. (Huntingdon Valley, PA) to improve the services and convenience offered. The consolidated operation will be known as LTI Metrology. Gage Lab was purchased by Laboratory Testing in April 2000, and has been operating as an independent subsidiary.
