NSL Analytical Services Names Quality Assurance Manager

CLEVELAND, OH, May 22-NSL Analytical, an independent testing laboratory, announces that Craig Mikin has joined the company as quality assurance manager. Mikin has 17 years’ experience in quality assurance and quality control functions. In past positions, Mikin implemented quality systems and led the effort to register companies to QS-9000 and ISO 9001. Mikin also formalized ongoing lean and continuous improvement projects and led the effort to computerize quality control data to enable statistical analysis and control.
One project on Mikin’s list is to establish process metrics that will enable NSL to relate its many operating procedures to one another. "I'm a great believer in managing what you measure," says Mikin. "Process mapping will allow NSL to measure the overall health of its processes to provide continuous improvement and improved productivity."
