JACKSONVILLE, FL-Braddock Metallurgical Inc. has completed the purchase of certain assets of Suncoast Heat Treat Inc. (Boynton Beach, FL). The privately held company did not disclose details.

Headquartered in Jacksonville, with operations in Tampa (Riverview), Atlanta, Bridgewater, NJ and Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Braddock Metallurgical is a leading international provider of heat-treating services to manufacturers across a range of industries from aerospace to transportation.

Among the assets purchased are Suncoast’s state-of-the-art Boynton Beach Aerospace Division and the Daytona Beach facility. These facilities will operate as Braddock Metallurgical Aerospace Services and Braddock Metallurgical Daytona, effective immediately. Suncoast’s personnel will remain with the facilities and George Gieger, president of Braddock Metallurgical, will serve as president of the two new companies. As a result of the acquisition, Braddock Metallurgical is now the largest heat treat supplier in Florida.

Heat treating is used to alter the characteristics of metal parts to enhance desired traits like hardness or to eliminate undesirable traits like material stress that can cause the part to fail. The company’s capabilities span a comprehensive range of processes from annealing to vacuum hardening. It is recognized by ISO/AS9100 Certifications and Nadcap Accreditation.
