Datalogic Moving Manufacturing to the United States
March 6, 2009
EUGENE, OR-Datalogic Mobile, manufacturer of mobile computers, announces that manufacturing of the Pegaso mobile computer will be moved to the company's Eugene, OR, facility. The Datalogic Pegaso is an industrial PDA used in warehouse, field force and retail applications. Since its launch in 2006, manufacturing of the Pegaso had been outsourced to off shore contractors. Now manufacturing of the product will be in the United States.
"We decided to bring the Pegaso home to our state-of-the-art facility where we provide the best of American quality and expertise,” says Rich Spindler, director or operations for Datalogic Mobile Americas. “It makes more sense to keep local people employed producing a quality product."
The Eugene, OR, facility will be building the Pegaso and shipping it to distributors and resellers throughout the United States and around the world.
