Quality Expo 2009 in Full Swing

September 22, 2009

ROSEMONT, IL-Just outside Chicago, and a stone’s throw away from O’Hare International Airport, Quality Expo 2009 is in full swing at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. Quality Expo is the annual event at which manufacturers convene to peruse the latest in measurement, test and inspection, and quality-related software products and services from a host of leading suppliers.

And this year is no exception. The aisles have been bustling with interested parties, searching for the newest and best ways to improve quality and reduce the costs of their manufacturing operations.

Attendees have also been taking part in the Quality Conference, seminars spanning the length of the expo that deliver insight on top quality trends, issues and tools. Sessions have included such topics as creating a culture of quality, achieving better reliability and the employment of statistical process control (SPC).

On the show floor, in booth #4774, attendees have been sitting in on Innovation Briefs, daily seminars in which suppliers present on innovations made to their product lines or innovative uses of their products. On Tuesday, Kevin Legacy, manager of computed tomography & engineering at Carl Zeiss IMT Corp., spoke on the use of computed tomography in his company’s products, as well as the company’s increasing involvement in micrometrology.

In addition, Quality Expo is co-located with the Assembly Technology Expo, Design & Manufacturing Midwest, Medical Design & Manufacturing Midwest, Electronics Midwest and the Green Manufacturing Expo, providing attendees a snapshot of all that’s happening in manufacturing under one roof.
