Cirtronics Achieves Certification as Woman-Owned Business

October 21, 2009

Milford, NH-Cirtronics Corp., provider of EMS services to the defense, medical, communications and industrial markets, has received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

WBENC’s national standard of certification, implemented locally by the Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) in Boston, MA, is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and facility. The certification process is designed to confirm that a business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, large corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs. There are only three organizations in the US that certify women-owned business for corporate contracting purposes. Inclusion as a WBENC member is the most respected woman-owned certification that can be achieved.
