VX Corp. Donates CAD/CAM Software

September 21, 2009

MELBOURNE, FL-VX Corp., along with its exclusive distributor in Asia, Machineware, has donated 60 licenses of its computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) solution, VX End-to-End with 5 Axis, to Samutsongkhram Technical College (S.T. College) in Thailand. The donated software will help teach students a range of design and manufacturing disciplines. It contains all of the functions of the full commercial product.

S.T. College is a technical and vocational college located near Bangkok. “The teachers love VX CAD/CAM,” says Hiroshi Shimizu, director of Machineware, “but, equally important, they love to teach VX.” It is quickly spreading amongst the teachers. The number switching to VX from their current software continues to grow as they experience VX CAD/CAM’s contagious power, rich features and ease of use.

This gift is part of VX Corp.’s commitment to support the use of technology in education. State of the art CAD/CAM software better equips teachers and students, allowing them to maximize their educational efforts.

“Since design through manufacturing is built into one product, students and teachers profit by being able to focus on teaching and learning manufacturing and engineering concepts,” says Bob Fischer, VX vice president of sales and marketing, “They spend less energy learning how to interface with CAD/CAM software and more time on process improvement.”
