Jim's Gems: Think on the Positive Side
March 26, 2010
Our personality and character are shaped by those things we think about and focus on. Those who achieve success, consider themselves capable of success. There is power to be gained in thinking positively. Motivators like Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale and Norman Vincent Peal talked often about something they called PMA (positive mental attitude). Brain Tracy-who is a motivational speaker on various topics and was a mentee and follower of Earl Nightingale and Dr. Peal principles-said that we are the architect of our personality and character. Our personality and character are shaped by those things we think about and focus on. The following are things for you to consider:
With every ending comes a new beginning. With every disappointment comes a new opportunity for success.
With every mistake comes a important lesson to be learned. With every failure comes new knowledge from which to move forward toward success.
With every setback comes renewed energy to move to a higher level of achievement. With every challenge comes a new strategy for taking decisive action.
With every difficulty comes a new level of strength to be reached. With every loss comes an increased determination to win.
Though we encounter many pitfalls and problems, there is a positive side to every one of them. We need to find that that positive side, and no problem will be a problem for long.
Those who achieve success, consider themselves capable of success. It is your opinion of yourself that determines who you are and what you are. This is why your opinion is the most important thing in the world as far as you are concerned.
