When we are tempted to feel resentful or sorry for our self, we must stop and understand that such feelings will only intensify our difficulties.
Have you ever stopped to think that we choose to become angry? No one decides this for us. Before we make this choice, we need to consider that our anger is not likely to achieve anything. Well, nothing positive anyway. We need to remind ourselves that there is a more positive and productive response available.
Before we allow unexpected distractions to throw us off course, consider that we do have another choice. We can choose to move quickly beyond the distraction, and to stay focused on our original tasks.
