New multiple tool setting and inspection probing for machine tools demonstrated at IMTS 2012

Renishaw's new RMI-Q multiple probe radio transmission system uses a single radio receiver for tool setting and spindle-mounted touch probe installations, offering fast integration and a cable-free machine environment. The system easily integrates on a wide range of machining centers and CNC milling machines, offering automated on-machine tool setting, tool breakage detection, and part set-up and verification capabilities. Multiple probing configurations are possible with the new RTS tool setter with RMP60, RMP40 or RMP600 inspection probes, or other compatible spindle-mounted touch probes with radio transmission. The new RMI-Q system will be demonstrated at the Renishaw booth, E-5530 at IMTS 2012.
