New AIA President Announced
Cyros has been involved in the machine vision industry since 1987. He joined Datacube Inc. in 1987, where he worked for 15 years. His roles included extensive sales and marketing in the European and Asian markets as well as corporate operations, and his proudest achievement was the closing of the company’s largest-ever single OEM customer that netted in excess of $10M annual revenues.
In 2002, he became CEO of Euresys Inc., the North American subsidiary of Euresys s.a., a Belgian producer of frame grabbers and software libraries for the machine vision and surveillance industries. His roles included a restructuring of the existing operation and the building of a North and South American distribution and representative network to grow sales and market presence for the Euresys products.
In 2005, he started a new role to plan for and implement the creation and founding of a North American subsidiary for the German company Allied Vision Technologies GmbH, a supplier of digital FireWire cameras to the industrial vision and life sciences markets.
He has previously served two terms (2001-2002, and 2003-2004) as a member of the board of the AIA.
