Sensors Help Find Parking Spots for Boston Drivers

December 11, 2013
BOSTON — Starting in early December drivers parking in Boston’s Innovation District will get help finding the closest available parking space through a smartphone app.

The City of Boston has installed 330 “Smart Parking Sensors” just below the curbside spots along Seaport Boulevard, Congress and Summer streets, and Boston Wharf Road.

The app is free and available for iPhone and Android users. It works in conjunction with the sensors to show drivers which parking spaces are vacant.
