GigE Vision Camera

The GC750 Gigabit Ethernet camera connects directly to the Gigabit Ethernet port on the host computer and does not require a frame grabber. The result is a low-cost alternative to analog camera/frame grabber options. The camera incorporates a scan CMOS sensor with global electronic shutter suitable for capturing high-speed motion events. The CMOS sensor used in the GC750 has excellent near IR sensitivity. The camera runs 60 frames per second at 752 by 480 resolution via a GigE Vision-compliant Gigabit Ethernet interface. The camera is available in both monochrome and color models supporting both 8- and 10-bit formats. The color version of the camera outputs fully interpolated RGB as well as Bayer 8, Bayer 16, YUV411, YUV422 and YUV444 image data. The GC750 includes external trigger and sync I/O, and an RS232 port for controlling peripheral devices. It also includes auto-iris control output for video-type auto-iris lenses.

Rectangular Sensors

Having a narrowly focused light beam, the Series 0507 of miniature rectangular sensors detects objects through holes and gaps, as well as closely lined-up or laterally approaching objects with distances that cannot be kept constant. The series is characterized by the small size of the sensors (5 by 7 millimeters), with a housing length of 40 millimeters. The spherical sapphire lens is scratch resistant and projects a virtually cylindrical light beam with a diameter of less than 4 millimeters, permitting vertical as well as horizontal mounting. The devices are short-circuit proof and operate in a voltage range of 10 to 30 VDC, and with an output current of up to 100 milliamperes. They are fully vacuum potted and, therefore, largely insensitive to environmental influences (IP 67).

Near Infrared Lens Systems

The Zoom 6000, 12X and Precise Eye lens systems are now available with Near Infrared (NIR) coatings. The new NIR systems are optimized for imaging in the 700 to 1,550 nanometer wavelength. These systems incorporate high resolution and sensitivity, and offer zoom magnification ranges from 0.09X to 228X or fixed magnification from 0.30X to 91X. The machine optics were developed to answer customer demand for a cost-effective NIR lens option. The lens systems are designed for a broad range of manufacturing applications including backside photomask registration, SOI bond inspection and internal silicon structure and photoemission microscopy. Field of view and magnification remain unchanged from the non-NIR systems. The flexible modular systems allow for a customized solution. Both zoom or fixed options are available with detents and apertures. The motorized Zoom 6000 NIR and 12X NIR systems facilitate automation of the inspection process beyond manual systems.
