All too often decisions are based on assumptions. Decisions, however, should be based on data, thought and perception. Don't be trapped by assuming what no longer may be true.

Be careful not to use assumptions as excuses to avoid action. Always focus on determining what is true. Question and challenge those assumptions, and focus on what you wish to accomplish.

The world is constantly changing. What was once assumed to be true may no longer be so. Actually it may never have been true in the first place.

Look at the world and what is happening around you with a perspective free of judgments and paradigms. Consider all the possibilities, especially those that may at first seem particularly outrageous and 'out of the box.’

Many opportunities pass you by because you allow your assumptions to lead you to think you can't achieve success. Instead of assuming that you can't, feel the confidence that comes from knowing that you can succeed! Behind every assumption there are opportunities ready to be explored and conquered.

Let go of the assumptions that may be holding you back. Discover how very much you can accomplish. You can do it by having confidence and believing in yourself!

Alan Alda said, "Begin challenging your own assumptions. Your assumptions are like windows to the world. Scrub them off every once in awhile, or the light won't come in." Are you ready to clean your windows?
