Whether something seems possible or impossible depends more on what we do about it than on any other factor. Persistent, focused action is what breathes life into possibilities.

Certainly there are obstacles that stand in our way. There always will be obstacles and some seem daunting. Be careful, as we can have a tendency to use those obstacles as excuses for not taking action.

We can take another path, though. We can choose to get up, get motivated and get busy working our way toward the results we seek. Once we begin to take action, the obstacles lose their power to stop us and instead they become steps or milestones along our path to achieving our goals.

The actions necessary for success can often seem to be difficult, complicated, inconvenient, embarrassing, uncomfortable, or lengthy. The key is to realize that those undesirable qualities are, for the most part, mere inventions of our mind, and our choice to take action will override them every time.

Once we know what we must do, then we must go ahead and make it happen. We must stop focusing on the excuses and start moving toward real, manageable and valuable achievement.

Our actions have the power to change our life and to change our world. All we have to do is to make the decision to make full use of them, and fulfill our greatest dreams. It is up to us. The secret is to step out and make it happen. Don't hesitate, take action, and the story will write itself.

A Practical Field Guide for ISO 9001:2008

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000. It examines each sub-clause of Sections 4–8 of ISO 9001:2008, which contain the requirements, and gives a list of the documentation/documents required, internal audit questions, a summary of management’s responsibilities, and a flowchart of the steps that need to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements.
