There is good news for those who need quality-related products in 2007. Overall, estimates for the 2007 spending of quality equipment, software and services will be $3.4 billion, according to Quality Magazine’s 7th Annual Capital Spending Survey. A software boom in spending will account for 21% of this figure. Of the $3.4 billion projected, 50%, or almost $1.7 billion, is earmarked for test, measurement and inspection equipment. Twenty-nine percent, or $999.2 million, will be spent on quality services.
