CMS Introduces Academic Chair, Announces Call for Posters
BENBROOK, TX –– The Coordinate Metrology Society(CMS), the membership association for measurement professionals, announced Trevor Toman as the chair of the organization’s newly formed academic subcommittee. Toman will serve as a liaison with key education institutions to forge long-term knowledge-sharing and working relationships. Toman has worked in the manufacturing industry for more than 30 years, with extensive experience in the calibration and measurement disciplines.
The CMS also announces a “Call for Posters for the academic community. This professional organization invites submissions of poster abstracts for a poster competition to be featured at the 2011 Coordinate Metrology Systems (CMSC) in Phoenix, AZ from July 25-29, 2011. The Posters Presentation Event gives participants the opportunity to share experiences and information with CMS members via “poster and short oral presentations” showcasing accomplishments in the field. The CMS encourages submissions which focus on metrology applications and experiments, best practices, and successful projects from both novice and seasoned participants.
