Three Cash Prizes to be Awarded at Conclusion of Challenge 2
McLean, Va. – The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) and AMT – The Association for Manufacturing Technology announced the start of the second part of the MTConnect Challenge: Creating Manufacturing Intelligence, a U.S. Department of Defense – Defense-Wide Manufacturing Science and Technology (DMS&T) ManTech-sponsored two-part competition. MTConnect is an open, royalty-free communications standard intended to foster greater interoperability between manufacturing equipment, devices, and software applications thereby harnessing a wealth of information and data available from the shop floor.
The MTConnect Challenge 1 sought ambitious yet achievable ideas that harness innovation and manufacturing intelligence breakthroughs. Five winners were awarded $5000 each.
