e2b calibration, an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration and repair laboratory, located in Northeast Ohio, announced the completion of their annual ISO 17205 quality audit performed by ACLASS. The successful completion of the audit certifies that e2b calibration has in place the proper procedures, documentation, and test equipment, to provide valid calibrations that meet ISO 17205 quality standards.
ACLASS, one of the three brands of ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board, is an internationally recognized organization providing accreditation to ensure that the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories are met. ACLASS auditors are experts in metrology with extensive experience and training in the areas they audit. After inspecting the calibration lab and watching the technicians work, ACLASS has, by passing the company in their audit, endorsed e2b calibration for their technical expertise and competence in the field of metrology.
“Many laboratories claim to be ISO 17205 compliant, but that doesn’t mean much,” said Mark Hanson, General Manager of e2b calibration. “There is a significant difference between being compliant and being accredited. Any lab can say they comply with standards, but there is no proof of that unless a lab goes through a quality audit. Our continual accreditation validates that the work our technicians do is of the highest quality and assures our customers that they are receiving the best possible service.”
