U.S. Cutting Tool Consumption Down 5 Percent in December
MCCLEAN, VA — December U.S. cutting tool consumption totaled $156.48 million according to the U.S. Cutting Tool Institute and AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology. This total, as reported by companies participating in the the Cutting Tool Market Report collaboration, was up 1.4 percent from November’s $154.27 million and down 15.4 percent when compared with the total of $185.07 million reported for December 2014.
With a year-to-date total of $2,135.07 million, 2015 was down 5 percent when compared with 2014.
