Mitutoyo America (previously known as MTI Corporation) was founded in New York City in 1963, as the first U.S. distributor of Mitutoyo Corp. of Japan products. 

 The new facility is expected to open in the fall of 2013, which coincides with the celebration of Mitutoyo America’s 50th anniversary.
