John Latimer is a Human Resource-Safety leader with a unique and fresh perspective for companies that want an out-of-the-box thinker and problem solver. This unique approach to the Human Resource-Safety role has allowed him to work in a variety of businesses and government agencies. John began his career in HR working as the head of HR for three different elected officials. He then served as Vice-President of HR for a venture capital funded healthcare company which grew from 20 locations (1,500 employees) to 60 locations (10,000 employees) in 19 states. John’s approach allowed for the continuity of the core values and beliefs during the merger and acquisitions of other businesses. John’s approach to safety has allowed for the OSHA rates to drop by 50 percent. John is currently the Plant HR Manager at Pictsweet in Bells, TN.
John is a graduate of Crichton College in Memphis, TN with a BS in Organizational Management. John is OSHA certified to teach the 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA classes.
John sits on the Advisory Boards for Mississippi State University’s Department of Instructional Systems and Workforce Development; Jackson State Community College’s Applied Maintenance Technician Program; and Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Maintenance Program at the Bells, TN location.
