Developing Standards for Additive Manufacturing

Developing standards for additive manufacturing is an ongoing arduous process. Due to the increasing demand for AM, the need for standards is more urgent than ever! Carl Dekker, President of Met-L-Flo, ASTM Fellow and PAST Chair of F42 will be diving deep into the current status of AM standards. Committees like ASTM F42, ISO/TC261, and others domestically and internationally are working diligently to develop new standards for current and future applications. Currently, there is a roadmap that lays out the current standards for AM, but also the current gaps. Identifying these gaps are crucial to know what still needs to be researched and developed.
