The Sisyphean Task of engaging in Quality 4.0 Activities
This session will discuss the fourth industrial revolution, or Industry 4.0 and what to do to get engaged with Quality 4.0 activities which began in 2011. Quality 4.0 a subset of industry 4.0 integrates the features from industry 4.0 with traditional quality tools and methodologies to achieve better operational excellence overall performance and innovation. Quality 4.0 combines people processes and technologies to accomplish these goals along with complete digitalization of quality management systems theory it does not substitute for traditional quality tools and methodologies but rather bills an improves upon them. We will provide eight ingredients for successful implementation of Quality 4.0. We will also provide a special insight on the present and future effects of cybersecurity and how it could affect Quality 4.0 activities.

Carl has 40 years as a Quality Champion and has a passion for Quality! He has a proven track record in project management, quality management, contracting, and business development within the energy industry. He has worked on three MEGA projects with an average total installed cost of 12 billion dollars. He founded and managed a Technical Inspection company that served the oil & gas and utility companies worldwide. He is past Chairman of ASQ Section 1422 Bay Area Texas and is currently serving as Chair of the ASQ Inspection Division. He enjoys offshore sailing and tennis.
