Jim Spichiger as over thirty years’ experience in the quality profession as a manager, coach, Black Belt, engineer and auditor. He currently utilizes his process improvement skills in the financial services sector but has previously worked in the manufacturing, construction, and service sectors.
Spichiger has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University, is a licensed Professional Quality Engineer, a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and holds eight ASQ Certifications. Spichiger is the author of “ASQ’s Influence”, a column that appears quarterly in Quality Magazine. He has also contributed several articles to Quality Progress magazine. Spichiger has presented at numerous meetings, webinars and conferences on a variety of quality related topics both domestically and abroad.
He is an ASQ Fellow, a two time Malcolm Baldrige examiner and a former member of both ASQ Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Quality New Jersey. Spichiger has been a member of ASQ for over 30 years and is an active member leader for the ASQ Inspection Division and ASQ Columbus Section. He also currently serves on ASQ Awards Board and the Society’s Examining Committee.
Spichiger was instrumental in developing and now maintaining ASQ’s course content for CQI and CQT exam preparatory courses. He has served as an instructor for these and ASQ’s CQM/OE course for over 20 years,. In addition he routinely teaches White Belt and Yellow Belt Lean Six Sigma courses.
