Wilson Instruments (Canton, MA), the originator of Rockwell Hardness Testing, has introduced its new Wilson-Wolpert metrology equipment line to complement its hardness testing systems. The line includes micrometers, calipers, digital displays, and coating thickness, height and surface roughness gages.

ASI DataMyte Inc. (Plymouth, MN) has established a European subsidiary in Belgium. The new affiliate, ASI DataMyte International BVBA, is located in Hasselt and will serve as headquarters for ASI DataMyte for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Document Control Systems Inc. (Salt Lake City), a provider of comprehensive content and quality management systems that include full-cycle training and validation services, is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Cognex Corp. (Natick, MA), a supplier of machine vision systems and sensors, has been certified as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). As a result, the classroom courses, live and recorded online classes, and computer-based tutorials developed and delivered by Cognex Educational Services now award continuing education units to students who successfully complete these programs.

Valenite Gaging Systems (Oak Park, MI) has opened a new metrology laboratory to provide contract programming, calibration and other related inspection services for manufacturers of parts as well as the gages used in the inspection of parts.

Six Sigma Academy (Scottsdale, AZ) has announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with For CEOs Only Inc., the parent company of the G100, the network of 100 of the world’s most influential chief executives. The partnership is aimed at bringing Six Sigma Academy’s best-of-breed approach to leading organizations and to continue to evolve the Six Sigma methodology to the specific needs of the Fortune 500 and Global 2000.

For the second year in a row, Boeing (Chicago) has been named the No. 1 employer by engineering and science college students, according to the 2003 Universum Undergraduate Survey.

Sidney Tool & Die Inc. has received ISO 9001: 2000 certification and is working on AS9100 certification.

Quality Vision International Inc. (Rochester, NY) has announced an exclusive marketing agreement with Apollo Research Corp. (Buffalo, NY) for its Feather Probe technology for vision and video applications. The Feather Probe uses a proprietary technology to provide single-point probing with as little as one milligram of pressure. QVI plans to incorporate the Feather Probe as an option for multisensor measurement systems from its Optical Gaging Products division.

Beta LaserMike (Dayton, OH), a manufacturer of precision measurement and control systems, has acquired TSI Inc.’s length, speed and diameter product lines, including the Holix series laser gages and the LaserSpeed speed and length indicator.

Metrologic Group (Meylan, France) has entered into a worldwide partnership agreement with Volkswagen to provide the car maker with the Metrolog II 3-D inspection software.

Struers Inc. (Westlake, OH) has moved its headquarters from its current location on Sharon Drive to its new location at 24766 Detroit Road, also in Westlake. All phone and fax numbers and e-mail addresses remain the same.
