Aerospace Testing Expo Scheduled for 2006

LONG BEACH, CA-More than 300 exhibitors from 13 countries attended the Aerospace Testing Expo North America held Nov. 8 to 10, 2005 in Long Beach, CA. The three-day event included new product demonstrations and 100 presentations covering new testing techniques and technological developments in the aerospace industry.

An AeroNDT Technology Forum included presentations from companies such as Boeing, GE Inspection Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Olympus and Fujifilm, and covered topics that included nondestructive test, eddy current, X-ray, video borescope and ultrasonic inspection.

The 2006 show will be 50% bigger than the 2005 show, according to UKIP Media and Events, the organizers of the show, and will be held Nov. 14 to 16 in Anaheim, CA.

Co-located with the show will be the Aerospace Design Expo, which targets aerospace design and development engineers, managers and others in airframe and related subsystems at a component level. The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000. It examines each sub-clause of Sections 4–8 of ISO 9001:2008, which contain the requirements, and gives a list of the documentation/documents required, internal audit questions, a summary of management’s responsibilities, and a flowchart of the steps that need to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements.
