Carbide Probes Achieves ISO 9001 Certification

DAYTON, OH-Carbide Probes Inc., manufacturer of replacement contact point/styli, has received ISO 9001: 2000 certification. The company manufactures contact points for many indicators and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). The company has recently added replacement contracers and surface defect scribers to its inventory.

“We have received a tremendous response to our replacement Mitutoyo contracers,” says Rick Hudgell, director of marketing and operations. “Due to a lack of supply, our customers needed parts quickly. Our Lean operation processes enabled us to set up quickly and address their needs. Our ISO certi-fication process was progressing during this and proved to be a tremendous asset by enabling us to maintain our supply chain and process flows without any major issues.”
