UK's 3DX-RAY Expands to India

MELTON MOWBRAY, UNITED KINGDOM-3DX-Ray, supplier of X-ray inspection solutions for the security and industrial markets, has partnered with component manufacturer Castmaster India Pvt. Ltd. to distribute 3DX-Ray’s security and industrial product ranges within India, Nepal and Bhutan. The agreement will lead to the creation of a joint venture, Castmaster-3DX, in India, responsible for distribution, local support and servicing of 3DX-Ray’s products across the region.

3DX-RAY is a specialist in high performance X-ray systems. The company has provided standard product and bespoke systems to security and industrial market customers worldwide.

"We have spent several months evaluating potential business partners to take our products to India,” says 3DX-Ray Chief Executive Officer Louise George. “Castmaster has demonstrated that it has the relationships and the track record to deliver positive results. In the long term the joint venture will involve establishing a manufacturing presence in India to supply the Asian market. This will also involve sourcing certain components locally. We are confident that our products will perform well in this territory due to the recent increase in demand we have seen there for security equipment.”

“3DX-Ray’s broad range of products have the potential to play in a number of vertical market sectors,” says Rahul Jain, executive director of Castmaster. “With the terrorist incidents that India has experienced lately, such as the Mumbai bombings, there is a significant demand for the type of security equipment 3DX-Ray supplies. With our strong relationships within the private and public sectors in the region and 3DX-Ray’s strong offering, we fully expect to be successful in introducing its products to the market.”
