NCSLI Call for Papers 2010 Extension

The NCSL International 2010 Workshop and Symposium will be held in Providence, RI at the Rhode Island Convention Center from Sunday, July 25, 2010 - Thursday, July 29, 2010.

Take advantage of this opportunity to share your related metrological experiences, the results of your hard work on a committee, or some specialized measurement techniques you have developed.

Papers at all levels of metrology and calibration are accepted for peer review. If you are interested in presenting at this conference, please send all abstracts of 350 words or less to callforpapers@ncsli.org no later than January 31, 2010. Please include complete contact information and a short bio of the author.

All authors will receive a reduced conference registration of $350 if your abstract is submitted by January 31, 2010 and complete paper is received by May 10, 2010.

All selected papers will become part of the Conference Proceedings, which is distributed on CD internationally to all attendees, so that your effort is broadly shared with NCSLI members and serves as an educational benefit for years to come.

A Practical Field Guide for ISO 9001:2008

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000. It examines each sub-clause of Sections 4–8 of ISO 9001:2008, which contain the requirements, and gives a list of the documentation/documents required, internal audit questions, a summary of management’s responsibilities, and a flowchart of the steps that need to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements.
