MoreROCKVILLE, MD- Automated Precision Inc. has appointed Joe Bioty as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of 3-D laser based measurement tools. Bioty has worked in high-technology businesses for more than 40 years and led API as COO from 2003 to 2007.
Prior to joining API, Bioty was president and CEO of AMT Machine Systems, a Columbus, OH-based robotic components and systems manufacturer. Bioty has also held executive positions at M&M Precision Systems and General Electric, and founded NorthStar Technologies in 1990 before selling it to Danaher Corp. in 2001.
