The Measurement Study results will be analyzed by the CMS Certification Committee and used to support the first industry-recognized, level-one personnel certification in portable 3-D metrology, which is scheduled for completion by the end of 2012. The organization also plans to deploy a level-two equipment-specific certification that would include laser trackers, area scanners, laser radars, hand-held scanners and data post processing.
Other CMSC activities include a 5 Billion Micron Fun Run/Walk to be held on Wednesday, July 18, 6 a.m.-7:30 a.m. at the New Orleans City Park. Innovmetric Software Inc. will sponsor this year’s event. Participants will be transported to the park from the hotel. More than 70 CMSC attendees participated in the event last year.
The CMSC is also collaborating with the National Marrow Donor Program to host a donor registry drive at this year’s conference on Wednesday, July 18, 11am – 4pm, in the Roosevelt Ballroom. Thousands of patients need a bone marrow donor who can make their life-saving transplant possible. The CMS is proud to support this worthy cause. View the informational video and find out more about joining their registry.
