SWANTON, VT-Vermont Precision Tools Inc. celebrated its 35th anniversary by hosting a Sept. 6 open house at the company's new 60,000-square-foot facility.

The plant includes an upgraded inspection room for its tool division and a new temperature and humidity-controlled calibration laboratory.

Vermont Precision Tools was established in 1968 by Norm Leduc and Raymond Boutin. In 1980, Vermont Gage was founded to produce a line of economy pin gages. In 1999, the company formed Thread Gage LLC in Franklin, KY, which makes thread, plug and ring gages. In addition, the company has warehouses in Los Angeles, Seattle and Chicago and markets its products through 40 independent representatives.
