ST. CHARLES, MO-Permian Plastics, a plastic injection molding company, is celebrating its 15th Anniversary. While many plastic injection molding manufacturers have focused on manufacturing for traditional industries such as automotive and appliance, Permian has expanded its focus to support companies in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals and personal care industries.

“Focusing on these markets has allowed us to continue to grow, despite the current economy,” says Dale Emge, president of Permian Plastics. “We are currently on track to achieve 10% growth in 2009.”

According to Emge, a significant portion of the company’s current growth is coming from firms moving their injection molding business to the United States from China. Along with increasing reports of poor product quality, increasing freight and Chinese manufacturing costs are driving firms to bring business back to the United States.

After a strong 2009, Permian anticipates an even better year for 2010. “We’ve added employees and capacity this year, and we’re expecting that to really help us grow the business next year-by 15 to 20%. Not only is that good for our company, but it helps brings jobs and revenue to O’Fallon, and we’re proud to be helping the community weather the recession.”
