The Stingray has two FireWire IEEE 1394b interfaces for daisy chain multi-camera operation. Available options are either two copper connections with screw-type connector for a connection of up to 20 meters, or a copper connection with a fiber optic connection. The fiber optic version allows distances of up to 500 meters to be bridged.

The current family offers the choice between six Sony sensors with resolutions from video graphics array (VGA) to two megapixels, in black and white or color. For optical filters operators have the choice between neutral filter (protective glass) and four different IR-cut and/or IR-pass filters. The camera is available with lens heads in five different directions. C-Mount and CS-Mount are both available.
