Gleason and Manutec Form Strategic Alliance

ROCHESTER, NY- Gleason Corp. and Manutec VaWe Robotersystem GmbH (Fürth, Germany) have announced the formation of a strategic alliance to serve the global gear manufacturing technology markets. Effective immediately, Gleason and Manutec will cooperate in the development and sale of robots for chamfering and deburring of large-module gears.

Products such as the base model robot, the R500CHD and solutions will be sold through Gleason's worldwide sales channels with technical support provided by both Gleason and Manutec.

Gleason’s products are used by customers in automotive, truck, aircraft, agriculture, mining, windpower, construction, power tool and marine industries and by a diverse set of customers serving various industrial equipment markets. Gleason has manufacturing operations in Rochester,NY; Rockford, IL; Dayton, OH; Munich and Ludwigsburg, Germany; Studen, Switzerland; Bangalore; India, and Suzhou, China and has sales and service offices throughout North and South America, Europe and in the Asia-Pacific region.

Manutec VaWe Robotersystem GmbH specializes in the application of precision robotics to chamfering and deburring, but also to a variety of other processes including welding, bonding, engraving, wood working and other challenging automation tasks. Manutec has operations located in Fürth, Germany.
