LINCOLNWOOD, IL—Gage Assembly Co., a specialized manufacturer of thread plug and ring gages, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Founded in Chicago in 1953, Gage Assembly came to serve as a hub for Midwest manufacturers.

Over the years, Gage Assembly twice moved to larger plants to accommodate increased business. Today, the company serves a broad range of industries in the U.S., Canada and Mexico through a network of industrial distributors. Since 1978, the company has occupied a 23,000-square-foot plant in the Chicago suburb of Lincolnwood, which includes an inspection lab and hard chrome plating operation.
