U.S. Cutting Tool 2017 Consumption up 8.7 Percent in January
MCLEAN, VA — January U.S. cutting tool consumption totaled $173.05 million according to the U.S. Cutting Tool Institute and The Association For Manufacturing Technology.
This total, as reported by companies participating in the Cutting Tool Market Report (CTMR) collaboration, was up 8.7 percent from December’s $159.17 million and up 8.7 percent when compared with the total of $159.22 million reported for January 2016. With a year-to-date total of $173.05 million, 2017 is up 8.7 percent when compared with 2016.
