Accu-Vu fiber optic amplifiers are engineered to provide precise, reliable operation in applications such as parts presence, label detection, error proofing and thread detection. They are available with NPN or PNP outputs and are compatible with the company’s extensive plastic cable offering. The sensors have a dual 4-digit display, one-touch auto-teach manual adjustments and built-in timer functions with ranges from 250 microseconds to 20 seconds. Additional capabilities include auto power control to maintain a constant light emission level over the life of the sensor, and operator adjustable response times as fast as 50 microseconds.

The TechSpec family of light pipe homogenizing rods is for OEM illumination needs. The rods use total internal reflection to turn a non- uniform light source into uniform illumination and deliver it to the target site. These rods are for applications where point sources such as LEDs must be combined and made to deliver even lighting. Unlike traditional square integrating rods, these rods have a hexagonal cross section. The hexagonal shape provides a better match to spherical point source wave fronts, resulting in a 35% increase in coupling efficiency, allowing these light pipes to deliver brighter illumination for a given light source.
