Metrology Software

PolyWorks 10.1 is a universal metrology platform for users working with sheet metal. The workflows for specifying and using material thickness, creating and computing surface and boundary comparison points, creating reference points for alignment, laser-scanning sheet metal outer and inner boundaries, and probing sheet metal parts have been improved. Other improvements include a curvature-sensitive smoothing method for processing point clouds digitized by laser scanners and area-based digitizers; inspection reporting tools with more flexibility because of the introduction of new annotation positioning methods and intelligent snapshots that can restore the 3-D scene for quick updates; a function that allows probed points and compensation parameters to be edited after a feature has been probed; and a tool for fitting N-sided trimmed NURBS surfaces on digitized models.
