Satra Offers Force and Hardness Calibration

NORTHHAMPTONSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM-Satra has extended its range of United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) calibration services to include force testing and hardness measuring to the rubber and plastics industry.

Satra can now carry out calibration of class 1, 2 and 3 static uniaxial, screw driven force testing machines in tension and compression between 10 newtons and 30 kilonewtons.

In addition, durometers used to measure hardness in polymers, elastomers and rubbers and other nonmetal materials-and indentometers used to characterize flexible foams-also can be calibrated to UKAS standards.

Accreditation by UKAS demonstrates competence, impartiality and performance capability of service. SATRA provides a comprehensive onsite service to provide for customers’ calibration needs worldwide.
