The KN Series universal hydraulic testing systems have multiple configurations including tension, compression, bend, shear and flexure. Versatility of design also enables the operator to easily add test stroke or increase the test opening, and the testing space is easily accessible because of an upper actuator design. A 600-kilonewton model with single side-acting hydraulic grips is available. Completely customizable, the grips are ideal for tensile testing of stranded wire or cable and have long jaw faces to better accommodate gripping. These long jaw faces are important for tensile testing, as strands can easily slip from conventional grips, affecting the integrity of the test results.
